Byrnes Earns State Conservative Endorsement

Authorization Guarantees Assembly Candidate Will Appear On November Ballot

Marjorie L. Byrnes

Caledonia, NY— On July 13, 2018, the Conservative Party of New York State’s Executive Committee met in Brooklyn, NY for the purpose of authorizing candidates. Marjorie L. Byrnes (R,C—Caledonia) unanimously won the vote to represent the party in the 133rd Assembly District. Solely securing the Conservative Party authorization means that there will not be a Conservative Primary in the 133rd AD this year and that Ms. Byrnes will appear on the November ballot. Byrnes offered the following comments:

“I am grateful to State Conservative Party Chairman Michael R. Long, Executive Director Shaun Marie Levine, Livingston County Chairman Jason J. McGuire and each member of the State Executive Committee who placed their trust in my candidacy. The Conservative Party did not make this decision lightly and seriously considered its responsibility to the people of the 133rd Assembly District. I look forward to articulating conservative Republican values in the upcoming debates with my opponent, and later, on the Assembly floor.”

Carrying Conservative endorsement is not new to Ms. Byrnes. She carried the support of the Monroe County Conservative Party while serving as an elected Rochester City Court Judge.
