Marjorie Byrnes: A Strong & Trusted Voice For Our Region

Marjorie Byrnes is a sixteen-year resident of Caledonia. She has been an attorney for 36 years.

Civil service has been a hallmark of her legal career. For seven years, she was a Monroe County Assistant District Attorney specializing in prosecuting violent felonies and homicides. For ten years, she served as an elected Rochester City Court Judge. As judge, Marje presided over thousands of criminal and civil cases. From 2006 through January of 2017, she was a highly-respected Court Attorney to Livingston County Court Judge Dennis S. Cohen. In that capacity, she researched legal issues, wrote decisions and dealt with many residents who had civil, criminal and family court problems.  Marjorie retired from the NYS Court System in January of 2017. She served as a Caledonia Village Trustee until winning her first term representing the 133rd Assembly District in 2018.

In her spare time, Marje enjoys being with family and friends. She’s an avid outdoor enthusiast. In particular, she shoots skeet and sporting clays.  Marjorie is a member of Mt. Morris Sportsmen’s Club, the Conesus Lake Sportsmen’s Club, Rochester-Brooks Sportsmen’s Club, S.C.O.P.E. and the NRA. Routinely, she hears the concerns of responsible gun owners and is a strong advocate for Second Amendment rights.

Marje is also a member of the New York State Farm Bureau.

Marjorie believes that the 133rd Assembly District needs a strong and trusted voice in the lower house. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to identify and solve problems for the people she have served. Now, she takes this life experience to Albany.

You have Marje’s word. She will fight for our fair share, protect our values and work to stop Gov. Hochul's liberal agenda!
